Prof. Dr. Wolfram Nitsch

Ich vertrete im Graduiertenkolleg die Fächer Romanistik, Komparatistik sowie Regionalstudien Lateinamerika und bin verantwortlich für den Arbeitsbereich Übersetzung. An der Universität München promoviert und habilitiert, lehre ich seit 2000 Romanische Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität zu Köln, wo ich seit 2020 als Forschungsdekan der Philosophischen Fakultät auch für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs zuständig bin. Meine aktuellen Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der französischen und argentinischen Literatur der Moderne und der Gegenwart sowie in der Raum-, Technik- und Medientheorie. Von 2014 bis 2018 leitete ich ein DFG-Projekt zur Ästhetik und Poetik des terrain vague in der französischen Moderne (www.terrainvague.de). Gegenwärtig arbeite ich an einem Buch über vehikulare Fiktionen, das Effekte technischer Mobilität in Literatur und Film untersucht.

In the Research Training Group, I represent the disciplines Romance Studies, Comparative Literature and Latin American Studies; furthermore, I am responsible for the field of translation. After obtaining my doctorate and my habilitation at the University of Munich, I have been teaching Romance Literary Studies at the University of Cologne since 2000, where I am also responsible for young academics as Research Dean of the Faculty of Humanities since 2020. My current research focuses on French and Argentinian modern and contemporary literature as well as on cultural aspects of space, media and technology. From 2014 to 2018, I directed a DFG project on the aesthetics and poetics of wastelands ("terrains vagues") in French modernism (www.terrainvague.de). Currently, I am working on a book on vehicular fictions that explores effects of technical mobility in literature and film.
